Before capturing the hearts of the nation on The X Factor, Sam worked as a prison guard at HM Prison Gartree as well as performing in clubs, on cruise ships and at music festivals. Following her triumph, her debut single made Christmas number one and her debut album stormed to the top of the UK album charts.
